How can we improve Substance B2M?

  2. Paste from clipboard as main input

    Basically being able to copy and paste texture to Bitmap2Material would be nice as main texture.

  3. I just re-installed Substance Bitmap2Material 3.1 and I can't get it to work

    I just re-installed Substance Bitmap2Material 3.1 and I can't get it to work. Every time I open up the program and drag images into the program they load just fine but when I start to edit the parameters of my different materials everything get's deleted and I see that drag a bitmap all over the grey cube:(

  4. Linux Version

    You've announced one for Substance Painter, but I don't see anything for Substance Designer or Bitmap 2 Material.

    Please continue the trend of supporting this excellent open platform and allow us to work in the environment of our choosing.

  5. Default shader settings

    It seems like every time I fire up Bitmap 2 Material I have to go back into the shaders and change everything back to OpenGL and Physically Based shading. It would be really great if Bitmap 2 Material could remember these settings or at least let me choose the defaults.

  6. Tessellation shader on Mac OSX

    Tessellation shader for height/displacement is available for Windows but not for OSX where the menu is greyed out, both in SSE2 and OpenGL.
    The feature would also be nice in Designer and Painter but it really is essential in B2M since you currently have to tweak the height map without being able to see the result of what you are tweaking in the viewport since there is no displacement!
    Materials > Default > Shader > physically_[...] > Tesselation
    Also, I think it should be written tessellation, not "tesselation".

  7. Add another high-frequency level bar for all channels (AO,Normal,Height), or even make adjustable one.

    It's hard to get detailed results with base image, which contain lot for micro-AO (cavity) data.

    High-frequency bar isn't "sensible" enougth, it's still influences too big details, but does not capture micro-cavities, like shadows between fibers (check out example link bellow)

  8. Please, add button "Report Bug" same in Substance Painter.

    Is will be great, because application still not stable, and I have crash often.

  11. UI rendering on retina and fullHD screens

    On Macs with retina screens and Windows machines with fullHD the UI is cumbersome rendered. Only UE4 has the same issue, no other app that I know of...
    To work more pleasantly I strongly advise to make the UI behave native on every screen resolution.

  12. High DPI UI Scaling

    Interface needs to be usable with higher resolution screens. QHD (like the new cintiq), UHD, DCI and Retina displays are hardly usable. Lack of UI scaling seems dated. This could quickly differentiate Allegorithmic from Quixel's much cheaper offering that also doesn't support DPI scaling.

  13. Sluggishness and mouse sticking

    Great product, but frustrating amount of 'mouse stickiness'. ie even when mouse is up the sliders sometimes tend to change, following the mouse. Also feel the program is somewhat 'sluggish', not responsive. This is on a 2012 iMac

  16. Easier way to navigate 2D view Outputs

    When you have lots of Outputs or Horizontal split of 2D views then it becomes difficult to change view. Example = from Base Color to AO.

    Maybe add ability to click & drag names to slide them left & right.
    Or change names to Icon buttons.

  19. Batch Processing, please!

    I currently have purchased a number of texture, it would save ALOT of time if we could batch process, even if that number was limited (due to indie licensing) to say.. 25 per batch?

    As a single developer, I'm hard pressed for time as it is :\
