Substance Painter CPU & GPU usage
The Substance Painter uses huge amounts of CPU as well as GPU(mainly this) as we all know. Even when the Substance Designer and B2M work perfectly fine on some systems, the Painter just hangs and doesn't even go beyond fluctuating between "responding" and "not responding".
I would really really realllllly appreciate if Allegorithmic could optimize the Substance Painter and make it much much less dependent on the
GPU(even though i know it cant work without it).
Also, please do something about people who have very low VRAM and Graphics card specs.
Substance Painter relies entirely on the GPU for most of its operations, nothing we can change about this. That being said, we work on improving performance with every new release.
I agree, this is kind of the only negative point I see in substance painter. If there was a way for SP to also use the RAM/CPU more and not mostly rely on VRAM it would be great since I have several crashes due to running out of VRAM.

I'm afraid you'r just screwed my friend :). I am ordering a GPU this year's black friday specifically for SP. Bought 16Gb RAM for it recently too. Ultimate Power has a Price :).
